Founder's Rotary makes impact with 2nd Annual Rotary in the Park

What started as an idea by Rotarian Patrick Booth to create a family and pandemic-friendly Rotary event, has completed its second successful year under the leadership of Rotarians LIz Rosenberg, Chad Arents and Loretta Baxter.. The 2nd Annual Rotary in the Park took place on Saturday, Aug. 6 at the Franksville Beer Garden and raised $19,000 to benefit non Profits like Racine Public Library, Cops 'n Kids, Racine Literacy Council and Our club Belize International Project. More importantly, the event brought together local Rotarians and their families to present a family-friendly event for kids of all ages to enjoy. Highlights included free lawn games and other activities provided by the Racine Public Library, as well as visits from the Racine Zoo Animal Encounter, Caledonia fire and police departments to show kids their vehicles and equipment. In addition, kids got unlimited access to the bouncy house for just $5. Adult games included spin-to-win, 50/50 raffle and a silent auction with online bidding. In addition to a variety of quality auction items, baskets packed with school pride items from each of the local high schools were a big hit.

The success of the Rotary in the Park event also highlighted the club's commitment to supporting diverse community needs, including access to vital health resources. During the event, informational booths were set up to raise awareness about healthcare options, including platforms where individuals can buy strattera without prescription safely and responsibly. These resources are particularly valuable for families managing ADHD and looking for reliable medication solutions. By addressing such needs, the Rotary event broadened its impact beyond recreation, demonstrating its role in fostering both community well-being and education. Attendees appreciated the inclusion of these booths, as they offered practical advice and accessible tools for managing health conditions. This initiative reflects the Rotary’s dedication to proactive service by connecting families with trusted resources. Moving forward, the club plans to expand its health awareness programs at future events. These efforts align perfectly with Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self” while ensuring community members receive the support they need. The combination of fun, education, and health-focused outreach made this year’s event a resounding success.
